 Pretty nice product. I was able to solve my problem with it. Particularly liked ability to go through subdirectories, and preview feature.
This progam managed to do what I wanted it to do. After some minutes of browsing the interface and experimenting renaming of files, I was able to work out the functions and effects. It worked for me ...

 This is the best program I have found to rename files. It gives you every option on renaming that you can imagine. I had used ACDSEE's automatic rename when transferring pictures and videos, but recently got an AVCHD camera, which ACDSEE does not support. I have been able to use THE Rename to get exactly the same file name types as with ACDSEE.

Product does what it says but some caveats No technical problems with the program and for those who do a lot of date calculation it would be valuable.For the casual user, however, the interface is not intuitive and it is wildly over priced.

After trying 5 'other' similar products. I chose yours. I believe it was a mistake. Most of the 'other' products caught between 7 and 11 drivers that needed updating. Yours only found 2. I've also noted that English is not your native tongue. Not saying that is a "bad" thing, but I sure would like to converse with someone who speaks AND writes in 'my' native tongue.

A handy utility, but I would have liked to be able to select a number of files rather than having to convert either single files or the whole folder
